Statistics: Russia’s inflation again at 0.1% Apr 17–Mon
MOSCOW, Apr 25 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices increased 0.1% for an eighth consecutive week from April 17 through Monday, and inflation reached 1.1% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for white sugar grew 1.5%. Millet inflated 0.5%. Prices for mutton, rice, tea, vodka, salt, cookies and caramel increased 0.2-0.3% whereas prices for eggs and buckwheat went down 0.8%, for frozen fish 0.3%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables grew 0.2% on average. Cabbage and carrots prices rose 2.8% and 2%, respectively. Potatoes, tomatoes and apples inflated 0.6-1%, whereas prices for fresh cucumbers dropped 5.2%.
Gasoline prices rose 0.4% and diesel fuel prices added 0.5%.
